This is my personal website for connecting to my many WordPress blogging friends.

I’ve been blogging off and on for the last few years and love being able to connect to fascinating bloggers around the world. My blogging community is beautifully diverse and delightful.

This blog tends to focus on my enchanting adventures with my family, spirituality, travel, and sustainable development.  I share my thoughts about how to expand your enchanting adventure through the power of writing at The Listeners Path.

My life and work experience is varied.  I started my “career” as a materials science product engineer at IBM. Over the years I became  a technical writer, a marketing director, a Sustainability Director running a green business program for the City of Chicago and most recently an entrepreneur.  For the last several years, I’ve been a sustainability coach, retreat leader, and writing coach.  I intentionally slowed down my life so that I could spend more time with my kids and pursue my dream of writing novels and living a more creative life in general.

Traveling is one of my great joys in life.  I’ve traveled through 49 out of the 50 states in America, and love long road trips particularly to National Parks. So far, my sons (who are now 16 and 12) and I have been to many national parks Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Glacier,  Devils Tower,  Olympic, Lassen, Sequoia, Shenandoah, Smoky Mountains, Mammoth Cave,  and Sleeping Bear National Sand Dunes to name a few of the better known places we’ve seen.  Part of the joy of road trips are the unexpected sights and experiences, which in our case often has meant changing our travel routes to avoid forest fires.  There are more parks I’d like to visit with my boys including the Grand Canyon, Acadia,  Death Valley and Denali.   I particularly want to see Alaska one of these days, since it’s the one state in America I haven’t visited.

I’d like to do more international travel.  So far, I’ve journeyed through Canada, Mexico, Jamaica, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, and Spain.

During 2017, we are planning on visiting Alaska, a dream of mine. It continues to be a joy to still be able to travel with my mom who is now 86 years old, and still adventurous.

There are so many places I’d love to see including South America, Africa, Russia, China, India, Japan, Australia, Scandinavia.   I feel grateful that I can experience these places through my fellow bloggers sharing their experiences.

Not sure where life will take me in the years to come, but I know it will be enchanting.  Life is short for all of us, and I want to create the most enchanting adventure with mine and read about yours as well.

Safe travels to you and come back when you can!

  3. Hi Karen, I wanted to thank you for the follow!
My blog is a bilingual one. So you may get links to poems in English as well as to some in Italian… Pictures, on the other hand, have no language barriers 😉
    Keep up the good work.

    1. I’m so delighted that you and the folks at Green Seal liked the book review of the book, In the Light of Humane Nature. It’s a wonderful book, and I’m so glad to be able to support it.
