20170802_115753Hi, I am Karen Wan. Thanks for stopping by the Our Enchanting Adventure blog!

I’ve been blogging off and on for the last few years and love being able to connect to fascinating bloggers around the world.

This blog focuses on my enchanting adventures with my family.

Traveling is one of my great joys in life.  I’ve traveled through 49 out of the 50 states in America, and love long road trips particularly to National Parks.

So far, my sons (who are now 19 and 15) and I have been to many national parks Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Glacier,  Devils Tower,  Olympic, Lassen, Sequoia, Shenandoah, Smoky Mountains, Mammoth Cave,  and Sleeping Bear National Sand Dunes to name a few of the better known places we’ve seen.

Part of the joy of road trips are the unexpected sights and experiences, which in our case often has meant changing our travel routes to avoid forest fires, which sadly are devastating many places in the western portion of the United States.

There are more parks I’d like to visit with my boys including the Grand Canyon, Acadia,  Death Valley and Denali.   I particularly want to see Alaska one of these days, since it’s the one state in America I haven’t visited.

I’d like to do more international travel.  So far, I’ve journeyed through Canada, Denmark, Mexico, Jamaica, Great Britain, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, and Sweden.  There are so many places I’d love to see including South America, Africa, Russia, China, India, Japan, Australia, Scandinavia.   I feel grateful that I can experience these places through my fellow bloggers sharing their experiences.

During 2018, we are planning on visiting New Mexico.  My Mom wants to visit Taos and Santa Fe.   My mom is 87 years old, and still adventurous.

Not sure where life will take me in the years to come, but I know it will be enchanting.  Life is short for all of us, and I want to create the most enchanting adventures with my family and hope you will enjoy reading about our adventures in travel.

Safe travels to you and come back when you can!

  1. Eric, thank you so much for this award. I’m not very good at following through with web awards usually, but I will try with the ones you have sent me.

I like your poetry, though I can only read the English at this point. I’m looking forward to reading more of your work, and enjoying your pictures. 🙂

  4. Yes, I am going to be doing most of my blogging here next year, with an occasional post on Writing Your Destiny. I wanted to broaden the topic a bit to include my deep interest in sustainability of the planet and healing with the earth. Thanks for the follow!

I enjoy your work as well. I’ve been following your blog through my account writing your destiny for a while. Though I don’t always comment on your poems and inspirations, they are truly enchanting and healing the world! 🙂
